A landmark in Khartoum
Located on the confluence of the Blue and White Nile, and in the centre of the commercial and business districts of Sudan’s capital city, Burj Al-Fateh Hotel is set to launch it soft opening on August 1.
In order to prepare for the hotel’s opening, more than 430 employees from Sudan and across the globe have been hired and trained over the past 12 months with particular attention to cultural awareness and service delivery.
According to general manager, Burj Al-Fateh Hotel, Salvinu Farrell, the hotel aims to be a landmark in Khartoum, a symbol of the future of Sudan, and a leader in the region. “The Burj Al-Fateh Hotel is an architectural masterpiece and we certainly aim to compliment this magnificent building’s presence with superior service and attention to our guests so that each visit to the Burj Al-Fateh Hotel is a unique experience.”
Director of sales and marketing, Burj Al-Fateh Hotel, Wissam Khalek added: “We are proud to introduce this iconic building to Khartoum, with deep commitment to establishing lasting relationships with our customers and business partners through support, service and the ability to deliver additional value.”
“Following our soft opening, we expect that the hotel will have an official opening towards the end of the third quarter and beginning of the fourth quarter of 2008,” Khalek told TTG.
The hotel, which is located close to the Commercial Complex, a shopping destination with three floors and over 40 international stores and office spaces, boasts 230 rooms ranging from standard deluxe rooms and executive rooms and suites, to the ministerial and presidential suites.
The hotel also features the Sabratha Fitness Centre which incorporates a gym, Moroccan hammam, massage rooms, hairdresser and beauty salon, squash courts, tennis courts, indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and saunas with steam rooms. With extensive meeting and banquet facilities, Burj Al-Fateh Hotel also offers a combination of latest technologies with boardroom designs that can accommodate every type of event from small business meetings to large social gatherings. It also has a full-service business centre to cater to business travellers.
Meanwhile, the hotel’s numerous restaurants and cafés offer views across the Nile and the city of Khartoum, and include an authentic Asian restaurant on the 18th floor of the hotel, making it the highest restaurant in Khartoum.
